Horseshoe Electrical Substation

Confidential Client, Loveland, Colorado

EA staff provided geotechnical investigations, construction quality assurance testing, site grading and the design of foundations for the expansion of a 115/230 kV electrical substation including the design of oil retention basins/berms for the transformers. EA personnel acted as project design engineer and were responsible for geotechnical investigations, design calculations, footing analysis, and drawings details.

Foothills Electrical Substation

Confidential Client, Loveland, Colorado

EA staff provided technical services for the Foothills Electrical Substation located in Loveland, Colorado. EA staff provided the foundation design for a new 115/230 kV electrical substation. This work was completed August 3rd, 2017. EA teamed with Platte River Power Authority and the City of Loveland to meet the August 2017 deadline that had been set two years prior. The project engineering included design calculations, footing analysis, and drawings details.

Bypass Substation to Showboat Blvd Transmission Line

Hastings, Nebraska

EA staff provided geotechnical and structural design of the foundations, foundation construction drawings and specifications, and structural review for transmission towers near Hastings, Nebraska. Seven miles of new transmission lines were installed adjacent to Showboat Boulevard from the proposed Showboat Substation to the existing Bypass Substation.
