Engineering Analytics, now MacKay, Expands Southwest Presence with New Albuquerque Office

Engineering Analytics (EA), a part of MacKay, is driving continued national growth with the opening of a new office in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This expansion strengthens EA’s presence in the Southwest and reinforces its role in delivering specialized services across the region.

The Albuquerque office reflects EAs’ commitment to supporting MacKay’s broader strategy of building a national platform anchored by strong regional teams in the Northwest, Midwest, and Southwest. Through this growth, EA continues to expand its capabilities and enhance its ability to serve clients throughout the Southwest.

The office will focus on supporting public and private sector clients in central New Mexico and throughout the greater Southwest region. Services will include Engineering and Design, Process Instrumentation and Controls, Environmental Monitoring and Compliance, and Construction Materials Testing helping clients address infrastructure, development, and environmental needs.

“This expansion has been part of EA’s vision for years,” said Dan Overton, Southwest Region Vice President for MacKay and former CEO and President of Engineering Analytics. “Opening an office in Albuquerque allows us to build on that vision while remaining locally focused and regionally led, with the support of a national platform.”

The Albuquerque office represents a long-planned step for the EA team and reflects the firm’s continued growth in New Mexico. With the support of MacKay’s broader platform, the team will be able to expand services and collaborate across regions while maintaining a strong local presence.

Karen Stearns, Branch Manager for EA’s Raton, New Mexico office, will oversee both New Mexico locations and lead the development of the new Albuquerque office.

“Albuquerque is a dynamic and growing market, and we’re excited to become part of the local business community,” Stearns said. “Our focus will be on building strong relationships and supporting projects that contribute to long-term growth and livability in the region.”

“MacKay is intentionally building a national platform through strong regional teams,” said Derrick Smith, CEO of MacKay. “The expansion of Engineering Analytics into Albuquerque shows how we support our teams as they grow, serve clients, and make a positive impact in the communities where they work.”

Engineering Analytics joined MacKay in August 2025 and will continue to operate as Engineering Analytics, a part of MacKay, until September of 2026 when we transition to our new brand and complete our integration.
